Daniel Obal (DO) is a lawyer, politician, agri-business entrepreneur and Pan-African youth leader, currently serving as Special Presidential Aide on Youth Affairs/Youth Envoy to His Excellency the President, General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda. With over 7 years experience working in Government and with Development Organisations, Daniel Obal has a strong continental, international & multilateral record on youth engagement and development, women & children’s rights, working to ensure young people move from the margins of decision-making to the center of governance, innovation and socio-economic development.

This is why Daniel Obal champions a different future. A future where young people become policymakers, successful entrepreneurs, innovators, lawmakers, and institution builders. His work advances the aspirations of Agenda 2063 by building systems and institutions that empower Africa's largest demographic to shape the continent's future.

Empowering young legal, political and civic leaders to strengthen institutions and improve governance.

DO believes sustainable development can only happen when young people actively participate in shaping the laws, policies, and institutions that govern society. When youth are denied justice, they reject peace. A young demographic majority, therefore, has a meaningful role to play in holding institutions accountable.

Africa’s young innovators do not lack ideas.  An average African youth is capable of just anything!

But, they lack access. Access to the tools that can unleash their potential.

DO advocates for direct investment mechanisms that unlock capital, funding, and growth opportunities for youth-led enterprises, agricultural and green economy initiatives, and innovation ecosystems.

Young people are a crucial front in combating terrorism, insecurity, and silencing the guns.

DO advocates for public education and capacity building to enhance the vigilance of young people, as the ultimate guarantors of Africa’s peace, pursued in tandem with meaningful economic empowerment opportunities.
